Red Cross Month Campus Competition Update

Now in the second week of March, Red Cross month is officially in full swing and campuses across the state have been busy working to make their communities "Red Cross Ready".  Campus Corps student volunteers have participated in a variety of Red Cross Month initiatives including preparedness bag distributions, organizing and taking part in blood drives, and working towards making their campuses certified shelters.

This of course means that the statewide campus competition is shaping up, as Campus Corps leaders have been reporting the number of points they have accrued from their initiatives. And for the update of the current top contenders:

UM-Western: 176
Fort Peck Community College: 101
MSU-Northern: 100
M-Tech: 100

UM-Western certainly has an impressive lead, but there is still plenty of time left for others to catch up! Fort Peck Community College had a very successful bag distribution last weekend, which placed them just ahead of MSU-N and M-Tech who are tied for 3rd.

We're not even half way through the competition, and I have a feeling that campuses are going to pick up the pace as the competition continues. Good luck to all contenders - we can't wait to see what happens next!
