I am so thankful I have had the opportunity to be Erin’s leader this year. Erin served as a Campus Corps member for the first time in the summer of 2011 at the Audubon Conservation Center in Billings. By the time I took over as leader in the fall of 2011, she was an old pro at Campus Corps and had a deep understanding of the value and impact of service. Erin had a great experience serving over the summer and loved the opportunities that Campus Corps provided for her; including providing insight to the needs of the Billings community and reflection of how her service has helped develop her professionally and personally.
Erin currently serves at Tumbleweed as a member of the Youth Outreach Program, where she works to provide support for homeless and runaway youth. When asked why she volunteers, Erin replied “I find it extremely rewarding and value the importance of giving back to my community.” Erin has been a vital part of the MSUB Campus Corps team. She is easygoing, friendly, dedicated, and always willing to lend a hand to her fellow Campus Corps members and community. In her time away from Tumbleweed and classes, where she is pursuing a degree in elementary education, she has known to be spotted at Service Saturdays, serving youth, senior citizens and helping make the community sparkle. Her energy and passion for serving others is a positive influence for Campus Corps and the Billings community.
