MSU Bozeman - Make a Difference Day 2010

"For Make a Difference Day, the MSU Bozeman team participated in two different events. On Friday night, 5 of us volunteered at the Children's Museum with their free Friday night program. Two of us face painted, two of us sold pizza, and another one of us helped kids make milk cartoon spiders. About 50 kids came to the event with about 20 or so adults showing up. The families really appreciated the time together and the opportunity to enjoy the Children's Museum free of cost. Each Friday night the Children's Museum is free and open to the public. The event lasted from 5:00pm- 8:00pm. Then, on Saturday, one of our fearless Campus Corps team members, Jamie Diehl had a service project through her site, HOPA Mountain. The project was a family reading day at the Bozeman Public Library. Families could come and read stories together and then each kid who came was able to receive a free book. About 7 of our members helped with this event. For this project about six families came. Each kid got a couple free books!!! The parents and children really appreciated the time to be together and listen to a story. The kids were really into it! The Children's Museum, HOPA Mountain, and the Bozeman Public Library all were very appreciative of our service!"
