Montana Campus Compact 2011-2012 - Let's Get This Started!

Welcome to Montana Campus Compact 2011-2012!  I am thrilled to have the opportunity to take over the role of Senior Leader and am excited to do my part in carrying on the tradition of working to expand and build upon the invaluable service work that Montana Campus Compact makes possible.  I certainly have some big shoes to fill (as Zach certainly did an incredible job last year leading the troops) but I am up for the challenge!

I am proud to report that we have an EXCELLENT group of Corps Leaders who will be the driving force behind Montana Campus Compact in collaborating with our local communities to pursue social justice initiatives throughout the state.  I have been truly inspired by many of the stories shared by former Corps members and CANNOT WAIT to hear about the amazing work that you will do in the upcoming year! Hope you're all getting ready to bring your energy and enthusiasm to the table to make 2011-2012 the best year yet!

Welcome 2011-2012 Corps Leaders!

What an exciting selection process it has been this year! We've had around 60 qualified applicants to fill 12 spots around Montana.

We are welcoming with open arms:

Aubrey Delone to Flathead Valley Community College
Alison Graham to Fort Belknap College
Katherine Wise to Fort Peck Community College
Alexandra Black to Montana State University, Bozeman
Hazel Todd to Montana State University, Billings
TC Knutson to Montana State University, Great Falls
Sean Cochrane to Montana Tech of the University of Montana
Michael Yegerlehner to Stone Child College
Shanna Ungate to the University of Montana, Missoula
Grace Milanowski to the University of Montana, Northern
Cheyanne Marcy to the University of Montana, Western
Katherine Brady to the Montana Campus Compact as Senior Leader

AND! We would like to welcome back Jill Washburn at Rocky Mountain College and Jacob Kilgore at Dawson Community College for their second-term with the Campus Corps Program. You both have been inspirational leaders for both your campuses and we're lucky to have you again.

This strong, solid group will continue the great work that is done in Montana. Your communities will flourish with the skills and knowledge that you all have to offer.

This will also be my last posting! Thanks to the Montana Campus Compact for making this an incredibly meaningful year for me. I'll be sad to leave, but know that I'll see you all around Missoula in the short future. A float down the river perhaps!?

Yours in service,
Zach
